the construction foreman responds “yes its perfectly safe, we welded a ring on the bottom side of a tamper so the pile won’t slip out, the piles go in like butter, just watch!”
“Huh, can I see the drawings, what’s the driving force, what’s the design load that the piles are capable of supporting, what’s the lateral load?”
“Sorry I’m getting a call, ‘hello, no I’m free just some pesky engineer here busting my chops, you know how it is, what’s going on?'”…
